Regional Logistics Manager

Augustus "Gus" Hector serves as the Regional Logistics Manager for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Logistics Activity, North Atlantic Division, where he leads regional logistics planning, coordination, and operational support initiatives across the division. He assumed this role in May 2022 and has since been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, strategic planning, and supply chain readiness throughout the region.

Dr. Hector has dedicated his career to public service and logistics excellence. He is a retired U.S. Army Commissioned Officer with over 27 years of active federal service, specializing in logistics and supply chain management to support strategic, operational, and tactical missions worldwide. His military career included progressively responsible leadership positions where he honed expertise in resource stewardship, operational planning, and organizational leadership.

Before joining the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dr. Hector served as the U.S. Army Europe and Africa G-4 Class II Manager. In this capacity, he was the principal advisor to the Commanding General on Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) and Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) programs, supporting both steady-state operations and contingency missions, including Operation Atlantic Resolve and the Joint Multinational Training Group–Ukraine. His leadership ensured mission success while maintaining the highest standards of operational readiness and accountability.

Dr. Hector holds a Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL), a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from Touro University, and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), reflecting his commitment to disciplined project execution, organizational effectiveness, and continuous professional growth.

Known for his people-centered approach, Dr. Hector is passionate about mentoring and empowering teams, fostering collaboration, and creating environments where individuals can thrive professionally and personally.
